Qualified Career and Technical Education (CTE) students are eligible to receive funds for support services under Public Law 101-392. Allocations are determined by the number of participants and the availability of funds.
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a 2.5 or higher GPA
- Be enrolled in CTE courses during the semester in which they receive assistance
- Have a declared CTE major by the application deadline
Note: Pre-requisites for Allied Health programs and Core Curriculum (General Education) courses are not considered CTE courses for this scholarship.
Special Populations Eligibility
Students must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Individuals with disabilities
Must provide a current memo or accommodation letter from the CBC Office of Accessibility Services. - Individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including low-income youth* and adults
Financial Aid for the current semester must be on file by the application deadline.
Departmental, foundation, or academic scholarships do not serve as proof of financial need. - Individuals preparing for non-traditional fields
- Single parents, including single pregnant women
- Out-of-workforce individuals
- English learners
- Homeless individuals as defined by the McKinney-Vento Act (42 U.S.C. 11434a)
- Youth* who are in, or have aged out of, the foster care system
- Youth* with a parent who is:
• A member of the armed forces (10 U.S.C. 101(a)(4)); and
• On active duty (10 U.S.C. 101(d)(1))
*“Youth” refers to individuals ages 17–24 for items 2, 8, and 9 above.

To apply for assistance, complete the online application and upload all required supporting documentation. All documents must be submitted by the stated application deadline to be considered.
